OptiMix Privacy Policy

(User Uploaded Data)

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to OptiMix, an advertising spend optimization tool. It governs how user-uploaded data (such as CSV files containing advertising metrics) is handled.

2. Data Ownership

  • All data uploaded to OptiMix remains the property of the user.
  • OptiMix does not claim ownership, reuse rights, or derivative rights over uploaded data.

3. How Uploaded Data Is Used

Uploaded data is used solely to:

  • Run the requested analysis
  • Generate results shown to the user

Uploaded data is not:

  • Read, reviewed, or inspected by any human
  • Used for advertising or marketing
  • Shared with third parties

4. Optional Use for Model Improvement (Explicit Opt-In)

Authenticated users may optionally opt in to allow their uploaded data to be used in aggregated, de-identified form to improve OptiMix's models.

  • This opt-in is explicit and voluntary
  • Opting out does not affect product functionality

Data used for model improvement is:

  • Never read by humans
  • Never sold
  • Never used for advertising

Guest Mode data is never used for model improvement under any circumstances.

5. Storage & Retention

  • Authenticated users: Data is stored only as required to provide core functionality.
  • Guest Mode users: Uploaded data is not persisted and is discarded when the session ends.
  • OptiMix does not retain uploaded data longer than necessary.

6. Access Controls

  • Data is processed automatically by the system.
  • No OptiMix staff or contractors access user datasets.
  • Appropriate technical safeguards are applied.

7. Legal Compliance (Canada)

OptiMix complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including:

  • Identifying purposes before collection
  • Limiting use to disclosed purposes
  • Obtaining meaningful consent for secondary use
  • Applying safeguards appropriate to data sensitivity

8. No Sale or Sharing

OptiMix does not sell, rent, or trade user-uploaded data.

9. User Control

Users may:

  • Choose whether to upload data
  • Use Guest Mode for non-persistent testing
  • Export results locally (e.g., PDF)
  • Change or revoke ML opt-in at any time

10. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected here. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
